Roma weekend co*de + How to dress it as in 2009!

15 de enero de 2021

Trying to motivate myself to make new coords, specially now that we're in summer and most of my clothes are perfect for this warm but chill weather, I've been wanting to wear my beige cowgal-ish boots with some looks. I already had a couple in mind, but sadly one it's still on its way to arrive and I just didn't have the mood for the other one (lol). But yay me, looking to ideas for a coord to wear on my last ParaPara video for the ギャル ♡ ParaPara!! International Project I remembered I had more items to mix and that's how this co*de was born.

It's funny because I've had this blouse and shorts for quite some time now but there's a point when you just forget the items you have and keep wearing the same every time (haha). I'm happy I found this and even more the that the weather was perfect to wear it.

 CO*DE
Blouse: Ank Rouge
Shorts: Liz Lisa (replica)
Shoes: AliExpress

My main inspirations for this look was the old 2009~ looks from Chie, Yunkoro and Liz Lisa fashion runways. Around that time there was a big difference between Himekaji and Roma however with the years they just merged to be the same substyle and Roma Gyaru doesn't exist anymore.

As you can see, the main difference between Himekaji and Roma is that Roma Gyaru has a more country, hippie, Coachella feels on it's looks. Cowboy boots and hats, faux fur accesories, vests (I completely forgot I have one too hahaha) and leather belts were common. Also the colors where more natural between browns, ivory and denim.

Even Liz Lisa had more extreme looks with this aesthetic back in 2009. I was so impressed when I found these pictures! It's nothing we're used to see on LL. So sad they don't produce items like that anymore. I can even say if I have to compare my look with them, mine was pretty humble, but it's ok. I don't really feel comfortable with too many items, but I really hope my dress arrives soon to do an even more old-school look. Because when you choose dresses for this, it's all about the patterns!

 Bonus!

This was a super fun day with Nesuki taking pictures and we ended up in Homemade, one of my favorite restaurants you maybe remember the location from my Papillon photoshoot, and we ordered some frozen limonade and cinnamon rolls. It was 5:30 pm and they were just about to close but I really wanted to eat at least something fast because I didn't have breakfast or lunch (you can see how tired I was on my face lol).     And also Nesu got to take some postraits with her new lenses!

And that's it for today! It's been like a couple of weeks since my last blog post, but I was super busy and then creatively exhausted from the ParaPara project we had.  If you haven't watch it yet, what are you waiting for?
